The Minnesota Music Coalition is a statewide network for independent musicians who care about creating and sustaining a vibrant popular music community. Through education, communication, and advocacy, we create access to resources and professional development services.

Tony Mendoza, MMC President
Tony is an entertainment attorney and active performing musician. He has extensive experience working with entrepreneurial musicians, bands, non-profit arts organizations, and other artists on management and legal issues.

Beth Burns, MMC Secretary
Beth produced the Guthrie Theater's regional and national touring program from 1998-2006, has served on the MN Citizens for the Arts board since 1997, and managed local bands from 1988-1993.

Dessa
Dessa is a rapper, essayist, and a proud member of the Doomtree crew. She blogs for the Star Tribune and serves as an Artist in Residence for McNally Smith College of Music.

Sean Dowse, MMC Treasurer
Sean is the executive director of the Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing, and current chair of the Minnesota Presenters Network board of directors.

Mark Gehring
Mark is Founder and Executive Director of Vega Productions and President of Periscope Artist Management. He has extensive experience engaging popular independent musicians for nonprofit performance events and benefit albums.

Molly Maher
Molly Maher is a band leader, producer, string tech, roadie, hand holder and friend to the Minnesota music scene for 10 years running.

John Munson
John Munson has toured the country and the world with his rock bands Trip Shakespeare and Semisonic. He currently performs with a jazz trio, The New Standards and is Music Director for American Public Media's Wits program.

Chris Osgood
Chris, in addition to a long career in arts administration, has toured regionally and nationally with many bands, including the seminal 1980s punk group The Suicide Commandos.

Mark Stutrud
Mark is founder and owner of Summit Brewing Company, a local company with a strong track record of support for Minnesota's music community.

Andrew Volna
Andrew is the founder and president of Noiseland Industries, a company that supplies independent musicians CD, vinyl and download card manufacturing services. He is also the owner of Apiary, LLC, a real estate development company that creates office and workspaces for small businesses and start-up enterprises.

Chuck Hermes
Chuck is a musician who has been member of the bands Mile One, Stickman and more; he is a founding partner and Chief Experience Officer at Clockwork Active Media Systems, a company that invents, designs, and develops interactive applications for mobile and the web.
