Caravan du Nord: Trailer Trash, Patty & The Buttons, Lake Effect

The 2017 Caravan du Nord tour kicks off in Grand Marais with a day of artist workshops, music industry networking and performances by honky-tonk heroes Trailer Trash, New Orleans swing band Patty & The Buttons and Grand Marais trio Lake Effect! Presented in partnership with the North Shore Music Association and sponsored by The Current and Northern Wilds Magazine.


The 2017 Caravan du Nord is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

Community Center 4-H Building - 317 W. 5th Street, Grand Marais, MN
3 pm - Workshop: "Touring Beyond the North Shore" 
Trailer Trash frontman Nate Dungan talks about what artists can expect when booking and touring in the Twin Cities and beyond.

4 pm - Workshop: "Getting to Know Local Radio" (free)
DJs from The Current, WTIP, KUMD and KFAI talk about their local programming and how they go about selecting music and booking guests.

6 pm - Social Hour (free)
Meet the performers, local artists and music industry professionals over food & beverages.

7 pm - Concert w/Trailer Trash, Patty & The Buttons, Lake Effect
